Legal information
In accordance with the method adopted in UCAB, the advisers do not have to be jurists. When approaching CABs, clients expect a comprehensive advice. Ensuring a high quality of advice requires providing the Bureaux with up-to-date, reliable, exhaustive and comprehensible sources of information. Therefore, advisers set up a practical information system, which helps the advisers to meet clients' expectations, which is a tool that facilitates and speed up their work, and safeguards the quality of the advice. The advisers wrote the system themselves. They know what details are necessary to provide a high quality advice and what kind of vocabulary should be used so that the system is understandable for the clients. This work is supervised by the co-ordinator for Legal Information.
On the basis of an agreement between UCAB and the editorial staff of "Gazeta Prawna" signed on 19 September 2003, 30 Bureaux are able to use the electronic version of "Gazeta Prawna" daily issues. They can also retrieve, free of charge, "Gazeta Prawna" latest issues, and its archives, thematic essays, useful tools and latest news. At www.GazetaPrawna.pl, articles, comments and advice published during last four years are available. The latest issues of "Journal of Laws" and "Polish Monitor", as well as scanned texts of statutes are also available. The Bureaux highly appreciate the opportunity to use this service.
Besides our co-ordinator for Legal Information elaborates short essays on provisions awaiting entering into force in the fields most inquired by clients'. The essays are sent by e-mail to each CAB
Thanks to our co-operation with NGOs and public administration our centres receives materials and publications. As far we were given materials from:

- Polish Association for Legal Education,
- Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights,
- Klon/Jawor Association.
