Jan Nowak - Jeziorański

"One of the most spirit-raising phenomena in contemporary Poland is an impetuous and spontaneous development of initiatives that build a civil society.  There is an altruist motif in this rank-and-file movement: a will to serve the country and help other people.
A superb example of such initiatives is the Union of Citizen Advice Bureaux. It is an institution that fully meets the needs of the transitional period, i.e. these great changes that we experience. People need information and advice on how to adapt to new reality that is unknown yet, new laws and regualtions, and how to exploit new oppotunities that still arise.
UCAB's activists help other people, having no interest in it, by giving them advice based on sound knowledge of problems, as well as of new laws and regulations. They are guided exclusively by concern for good and interest of people they try to serve. This activity and its noble motives deserve the highest respect and encouragement."
