Goals and tasks
Goals:1. Development and propagation of the initiatives, attitudes and activities in behalf of protection and realisation of civil rights and increasing social knowledge on this subject through education activities
2. Support for activities aiming to social and professional stimulation of groups that are endanger with marginalisation in particular: unemployed, poor, endanger with pathologies, handicapped, young people and all those who are not able to overcome every day problems
3. Pursuit of change in social policy to develop democracy and civil society
4. Promoting and protecting women’s rights, and work to support equality of rights regardless of gender
5. Promotion and organisation of volunteer work
6. Work to provide technical, training, information, and/or financial aid to non-governmental organisations and entities specified in Article 3 clause. 3, to a scope defined in items 1 through 23.
The Union carries out its goals through:
a) initiating activities of citizen advice institutions,
b) incorporating in the Union as its members, institutions of citizen advice,
c) co-ordination of activities of citizen advice institutions, constituting a network on a scale of the country,
d) establishing and taking care of observance of standards of activities in these institutions,
e) advice and assistance (organisational and economic) to citizen advice institutions,
f) supporting institutions carrying out activities related to citizen counselling,
g) supporting local initiatives in the field of citizen counselling,
h) elaboration, edition and updating of information materials for citizen advice institutions,
i) co-operation with governmental institutions and non-governmental organisations,
j) expressing and informing relevant authorities and the public regarding drafted bills and provisions already in force,
k) consulting activities to citizen advice institutions,
l) co-operation with foreign institutions working for citizen counselling,
ł) arranging trainings for staff of citizen advice institutions and other enterprises of similar profile.
